A mission of Torah, community and real help

Or Shalem is an organization established in Israel that works daily to help Jewish families from South America who make Aliyah and begin a new stage of life in the country.

The organization is led by:

  • Rab Mordejai Janin
  • Rab Moshe Dayan

Their work is focused on supporting families through the spiritual, social and economic challenges that often arise when starting a new life in Israel.

Through different community projects, Or Shalem seeks to strengthen Jewish identity, support those who need it most, and build a strong community based on the values of the Torah.

To strengthen Jewish life in Israel by helping every family build a dignified life connected to the Torah and to the community.

We believe that no one should face the challenge of starting a new life in Israel alone.

That is why we work to provide real support to those who need it most.

Community Support for families

Family food baskets for the holidays

We distribute food and traditional products for the Jewish holidays, allowing families to celebrate the holidays with dignity and joy.

Jewish education

We help families find good schools for their children and promote Jewish education as the foundation for the future of the community.

Torah and Judaism classes

We organize classes and seminars on Judaism in various cities across the country, bringing Torah closer to those who wish to learn and strengthen their Jewish identity.

Brit Milah, Pidyon HaBen and Bar Mitzvah

We help organize and support these important milestones in Jewish family life, ensuring they are carried out properly and meaningfully.

Support for brides

We assist brides from limited financial resources so they can cover the necessary expenses to build their homes and begin family life with dignity.

Financial assistance for the sick

We provide financial support in cases where the public medical insurance system does not cover necessary treatments.

Tefillin and Mezuzot

We help families who do not have the financial means acquire Tefillin and Mezuzot, essential elements of Jewish life.

Community loans

We offer loans to individuals who are looking for work or going through difficult financial situations.

Community seminars and Shabbat gatherings

We organize study gatherings, community Shabbat experiences and activities that strengthen the connection between families and the community.
